FAQ
Can I use the V-Juice charger with any smartphone/tablet?
Devices that are not inductively chargeable (the NXP chip we use works with the qi protocol) can be upgraded with special housings or adapters that you can find in retail and mail order shops.
Can I also use the V-Juice Charger with devices other than smartphones/tablets?
If your device is operated with a suitable plug (Micro-USB, USB-C and Lighting) at 5 watts, it may be possible to upgrade it with an adapter (available in stores and mail order). Unfortunately, we are not able to provide detailed information here.
How can I clean the V-Juice Charger?
Although the pad is glued like most smartphones and tablets, the consumer version of the V-Juice Charger is neither waterproof nor waterproof. It can be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Avoid getting water in contact with the connectors or the case. This could lead to malfunction and damage.
Does the V-Juice Charger support fast charging?
Fast loading is difficult to achieve with the form factor of the V-Juice. Due to its design, the V-Juice Charger does not offer fast charging.
Our concept is based on the availability of the V-Juice Chargers everywhere, "eVerywhere" (like the BeLiHa concept: chargers for the bedroom, the living room and the hallway). Being available at all "natural resting places" increases charging time and allows gentle charging without the need for fast charging associated with higher temperature.
What are the dimensions of the V-Juice Charger?
Metrisches System:
- V-Juice Pad: 6cm x 36cm
- Charger module: 6cm x 3m x 1cm
US-Standard-MaĂźsystem:
- V-Saft-Pad: 2,4in x 14 in
- Charger Module: 2.4in x 1.1in x 0.40inÂ
Can I use the V-Juice charger with Android/iOS/Microsoft/...?
The usability of the V-Juice Charger does not depend on the operating system, but on the compatibility of the device with the wireless charging function. In the table you can see which devices support wireless charging.
Can the adhesive surface of the V-Juice be stuck on and removed again an infinite number of times?
Unfortunately, no. This should only be done a few times - as with all adhesives, the surface's tackiness will wear off after peeling and reapplication. If this is the case, send us an email and we will recommend a "refresher" (special glue) to help you. There is also a risk of damaging the V-Juice Charger if it is removed too frequently.
When removing V-Juice, do stains remain due to the adhesive film?
We use a proven adhesive for the adhesive backing and have not experienced any major staining issues. Nevertheless, we advise against attaching the adhesive film to sensitive surfaces. If you still want to use the pad on sensitive surfaces at your own risk, we recommend testing with a sticky note to see if there is any impairment.
Please note that surfaces exposed to sunlight lose color faster than covered surfaces that are not exposed to sunlight.
What else should I consider when installing V-Juice?
V-Juice does not like it too hot (room temperature), but dry and not in direct sunlight.
Did you change the dimensions of the V-Juice Charger during development?
We tested different shapes and sizes when developing the V-Juice Charger. The current state offers the best performance and a good connection to the surface. At several trade fairs, we asked visitors to tell us their preferred coil surface shape. That's how we got the round shape.
How long does it take to charge my phone with V-Juice?
The time it takes to charge depends on your smartphone.
Inductive charging has a slightly lower performance than wired charging if your smartphone has a micro USB connector and accordingly a slightly longer charging time. If your smartphone has a USB-C connector, it can charge faster when wired compared to micro-USB, depending on the combination of phone and power adapter.Â
I stuck V-Juice crooked, what can I do?
V-Juice gently peels and reapplies to most surfaces. There are some materials with restrictions, e.g. B. Cardboard and paper.
What should be the condition of the surface on which V-Juice is to be installed?
If you want to lay V-Juice on untreated wood (chipboard, plywood), we recommend pre-treating with a primer (inlet primer/acrylic base).
I want to route V-Juice around corners - what should I do if V-Juice doesn't stick to the edges?
In this case, you can use a commercially available power adhesive (please note the manufacturer's instructions: resistant to plasticizers). Of course, this could affect the ability to remove the V-Juice Charger.
